I started thinking today about the concept of SWANSONG which is your last performance in LIFE, which when it comes down to it is really a performance in a bigger play as SHAKESPEARE alluded to. At my age and time in life this is definitely my SWANSONG, but any day in your life could be your SWANSONG because you don't know if you are going to die of a stupid, seemingly random thing that you did not see coming and could not avoid even if you tried. When it is your time as they say, it is your time. I have already died or come close to dying many times and perhaps I have a higher purpose or I would not be here writing this. Now I get to choose my final performance which is coming sooner or later. It will start NOW regardless.
I had a late start today and had some Italian Wedding Soup which was delicious. Then I listened to the album GLASS HOUSES by BILLY JOEL which is my favorite BILLY JOEL album and considered a masterpiece by many. It is funny because what the title refers to is the proverb, "Those that live in glass houses should not throw stones." I have been throwing stones all my life literally and figuratively. I have lived with anger, shame and tragedy. Perhaps it is time to kick back and embrace happiness and love and find a happy place of calm to spend the rest of my days. I am tired of throwing stones.
