Fools And Men Of Discovery

Sailing ships and aimless lovers
We navigate blue oceans searching for paradise in a sigh
Far away I can still taste the salt spray of her lips
Caressing my hungry mouth
How we danced, naked bodies in the rain
Swaying orgasmic awaiting sunrise
Knowing soon this monumental love affair
Would yield just another goodbye
In the midnight breeze of everything
Lost I wander hearing her name
A lament for all that could not be
Making love to the ghost of a thousand yesterdays
Wondering why I am here alone
Wandering the wretched world at a distance
Looking for a vision in black
That I once thought I knew so well
Gone forever but in a dream
Fading into shifting sands
Sinking deep below the churning waves
Memories and strange visions speaking last words
Before being dashed against the jagged rocks
Fools and men of discovery
Sail on
As do I.
