In The Dark It Will Not Matter

Don't ask me how old I am

Or the circumstances of my life

I am old enough to know better

And caught in a crazy dream of love as you are

I am still young at heart to make your knees buckle

While you squeal with pleasure and pain

Close your eyes and enjoy the orgasmic mystery while it lasts

For such decadent things always come to an end

And leave an enduring scar

Who is more the fool for saying so?

The fool or the fool who opens the door to sexual mayhem and passionate art?

I am that fool and who are you my darling

In the dark?

I can kiss you until it hurts

And leave your body glistening with sweat

As it levitates across the astral plane

I am the man and the monster

Your savior and your doom

My 3 am whispers will haunt you for the rest of your life

And the taste of me will inabit your soul

When you remain alone

Meaning is a whore to convention

Bland reality is sucking the life from you as you ponder

What I say and if it can be

Slippery slopes injure some and bring others ecstasy

And who am I to push you where you don't want to go

Turn out the lights if you dare and wonder where this leads

In the dark you will find me

Always

In the dark

It will not matter

What the world says

In the morning.
