HAPPINESS

People want to be happy as if happiness was a permanent thing when happiness is merely an island of positive emotion in an island of bullshit. Happiness does not exist in a vacuum, but ebbs and flows like the tide. When I was young, my dream of happiness involved owning a home, getting married and having a traditional family, the American dream. Dreams don't always become reality, but that does not mean you cannot have moments of happiness. It is not valid to compare your life with another person's. Do not let circumstances elude you as a second chance may not come. Life is not always on your side and does not play fair. People will come and go. The now is all you truly possess.
