September
The last Spring flowers bloom and die
Waiting for you to come
Frost beckons from a cold breeze that will arrive
Like falling leaves swept by wintry winds
Who am I to question things
Or curse the rationality of existence
There are many forms of love and art
I rejoice that I can appreciate the darkness and the light
The grand illusion that the night brings
Hold such things like shattered mirrors to your heart at your peril
As the black yields to day even now
So Summer will bring forth September and beyond
Rejoice all who despair
Lament no more
Grander adventures lay around the corner
For those who have faith and the will
To persevere
Through snow and ice
We rage forward.
