My Nothing

Condensation on a mirror strewn with cob webs
Blood droplets dried on parchment crumpled and worn
How such sweet sentiment evaporates with the thunder
Fading into shadows and storm
Crimson kisses betray and condemn
And after this all I have left
Is a memory of what never was
Solemn vows
Passionate deeds at 3 am
Perversions before sunrise
A thousand knife cuts
Tears that tickle my cheeks in the darkness
Holding you in dreams
Goodbyes never hurt so much
As that moment when we first said hello
Knowing it was all a passion play and so much more
Falling into an abyss that whispers your name irrevocably
Champagne ecstasy bubbling over
Into the abject horror of the real
Your sweat drenched body pressed to mine
As I stare into your eyes
Witnessing the deep dark nothing that is all of you
Loving you more
For what you can never be
The consummate actress you fall to your knees
Smiles and daggers
Whips and sweet caress
Nevers
Nothings
Nonetheless
Lies eternal
Spinning around my mind
Walking away
Looking behind me
Knowing you will always be there
My everything
My nothing.
