SOME FIGHTS I'VE GOT INTO OVER THE YEARS PART 1

I would have been a better fighter overall if my mother and grandmother did not stress NOT FIGHTING so much.  Regardless, the area of the country I lived in and the time period of the mid 1970s to late 1980s was a time of non tolerance, bullying, agitation toward people that were different or just people that were not liked, and general body shaming, racism and homophobia so if anybody tells you how great the 1980s were, they are full of shit.

Most of the fights I got into, I cannot tell you why at this time other than if someone was different or a perceived threat, a fight usually ensued.  I remember one fight when I was 5 or 6 that the person I was fighting was from a different religious sect and he spat at and kicked me, which were considered girls tactics, but can be very distracting.

I once got into a fight with my best friend at around the same time and I pushed him against a tree and was getting the upper hand when his father started egging him on from the upstairs window and I thought I cannot beat him up infront of his father, then I felt bad I did not have a father who could yell support for me and I just felt bad enough to lose that fight after so much promise.

When I was in second grade this black first grader was harassing me and my crew so I threw him into the ground and he said he was going to get his "brothers" to beat me up.  I just laughed.  Later that week, a black kid from every grade from first grade all the way to seventh grade followed me as I walked to school and I got my ass kicked proper and a new appreciation for the "brothers."

When I was in third grade, I got into a fight with this trouble maker, who met me after school and he really seemed to enjoy getting into this fight which was a bit disturbing.  I beat him up, but was scared of going to the Principal's so I cried and he got into trouble while I got a pass.
