Graveyard Coffeehouse

Purple Butt Plug

Sleep returns
As memories fade
Beautiful lies
Die screaming
In the Night
Her image
Will slowly disintegrate
With time
Which heals all wounds
Salty tears flowing down
Freshly slapped cheeks
Flowing to the ocean
And salvation
Promises
Dreams
Will pass
Into the ether
Rise up to the stars
As the moon
Loses its glow
Becomes a ghost
Haunting dead illusions
Beckoning from above
Until love
Is discovered anew
All that remains
Of our forbidden
Torrid affair
Is a purple butt plug
In a weathered
Black bag
The same color
As her hair
It is hers
Like the coat
I gave her off my back
When she came to visit me
In the cold
Wearing only a blouse
Long pants
And a smile
In the freezing rain
Like the gloves
I gave her
When her hands
Shook in the snow
The umbrella I loaned her
As a torrential downpour
Erupted when we said goodbye
All I will never see again
Including her beautiful eyes
Sensual lips
Passionate lovemaking
In the darkness
All gone
Except the purple butt plug
A monolith
That still stands
Bloody
Soiled
But unbowed by lies
Deception
Hidden lovers
In the wings
It is hers
Ours
Nobody's now
A testament
To kink and taboo
Luscious wiggling behind
And sturdy hands
Such fond memories
That remain
Exciting lascivious
Potential lost
As our love died
Passing away
Forever
To nothingness
Holding
The splendid
Purple butt plug
In my hand
Before
I threw it away
Tonight
In a trash can
Without ceremony
Only this poem
To mark the grave
My final salute
To love
Gone awry
Back stabbing
Bitch queens
And ecstasy
Illuminated
By flickering candles
Washing my hands
Of a train wreck
Epic disaster
As my heart breaks
Like shattered glass
No longer wondering
What could have been
Realizing
That sometimes
A snake is a snake
No matter how much
You kiss it
Into a fluffy bunny
Or prod it
In the ass
With
A
Purple
Butt
Plug.
