Last Train To Nowhere

Her love was like taking the last train to nowhere on a Friday night

Hoping to get somewhere as I looked into her eyes and held her body close

Making love like fierce lions in the barren void of a borrowed room

Staring at the stars on the ceiling as I cradled her in my arms

Nothing could be so wild and untamed, erotic and passionate

As we gave everything for nothing

Heading nowhere in the darkness of an orgasmic dream

A ghostly emptiness reappearing in my mind

Like a friend that has died smiling at you in a moment gone by

For an instant fading away in insane mockery

Waiting silently for what can never be

Making love like a madman and dreaming a future that had already passed

Holding on so tight to a delusion and making it scream in ecstasy

Then leaving separately and standing alone again

Like waiting for a train that will never arrive

And watching with surprise as it comes

A Universe conspiring against our forbidden love

That survived night after torrid night

Despite everything and nothing.
