Before Winter Comes

The world is a bleeding Death
A creeping frost laying waste to dreams of life
I see the crimson trail in the snow and know it leads to me
Shivering and hollow I hold you close
Staring at the azure sky through the trees
Remembering all the what could have beens
Before darkness comes
Whispering my name in solitude
Love is a beautiful woman and a passionate kiss
A raging black stallion galloping beside the ocean surf
Remember this before Winter comes
To take everything away with a greedy hand
Hold on to erotic memories before they drift out to sea
Taste the delicious fruits of treasured sensual bliss
Savoring each ephemeral sweet bite
Frozen in moments of ecstasy and pain
That is when we truly become alive
Drowning in despair and momentary pleasure
Blood becomes wine.
