Love And Desire
There are so many things I want to say
That have already been said
So many things I want to do
That have already been done
I stand in confession of the irrelevance of it all
Love and desire have a price that I am paying still
I am wiser for the nothingness left behind
Just as the emptiness within gnaws at my soul
I curse this burning world of straw men and women
Fools in the distance
Clowns without a circus anymore
It helps if you can laugh at the absurdity of it all
Being bold enough to blindly walk on
Oblivious to the destruction that awaits
Love and desire have a price
That I am paying still.
