I remember a Halloween contest at a local club. There were many outlandish costumes such as the woman wearing a shower curtain decorated to be the tornado in the movie THE WIZARD OF OZ. There was a woman dressed as a bride carrying her severed head which was actually a guy on his knees all night and a guy in a Frankenstein costume walking on stilts that evening. There was only one prize for best costume and it rightfully went to the headless bride. But the Frankenstein definitely put in the effort to win. It was a magical evening that preserved the true spirit of Halloween for the 21 and over crowd.
