I remember growing up with the dread of "Mischief Night" the day before Halloween. Bands of rogues would go out the night before and soap your car, cover it in shaving cream or throwing eggs at it. Sometimes people would string toilet paper on trees or throw old sneakers over power lines, but the real fear was what they would do to your car. I don't think this tradition is still alive, but it still has a place in my memory.
