Thirst

I drown in the desert of your nothingness alone
Thirsting for memories of wine and roses
Sweet succulent kisses dripping honey and malice
A ghost from another time you wander
In the midnight of my dreams
Calling for me within the moonlight
Beckoning for one more erotic tango between rumpled sheets
Turning away before receiving an answer
Already knowing what I will say
We have done this love pantomime in the darkness before
Lost in your eyes I forget the sand and the burning Sun
The desolate landscape
Drinking in your beautiful lies
One more time
Before you are gone.
