Graveyard Coffeehouse
Sometimes
You realize
You gave practically
Everything
And
It was all
For nothing
You gave
Heart
Soul
Mind
Spirit
You gave it all
For
Nothing.
You had to walk the road
The infernal path
The straight line
The razor blade on broken glass
The twisted road
To get an answer
And just when you feel
You had everything
You
Realized it was nothing
All for nothing
Most would turn around
And try to forget
Yet here I am
Forging ahead
Into the distance
Further from home
For nothing
For nobody
For the sake of nothing.
Yet here is my everything
Heart and soul
For nothing
It is in this poem
All of me
Past
Present
Future
If you look deep enough
You will see
Take it
Leave it
Ignore it
Mock it
It is your call
Whatever you wish
Do what you will
But know
It is my everything
There is no one left
Nobody
No sanctuary
No home
This is all
Everything
And it is all
For nothing.
All For Nothing
Sometimes
You realize
You gave practically
Everything
And
It was all
For nothing
You gave
Heart
Soul
Mind
Spirit
You gave it all
For
Nothing.
You had to walk the road
